Apple’s App Store has resulted in a $13 billion payout to developers and 60 billion cumulative app downloads, CEO Tim Cook announced today at Apple’s media event in San Francisco. Cook also announced that the App Store now has an app catalog featuring 1 million apps.
Apple announced updates for their other digital storefronts as well, noting that iTunes Radio has had 20 million listeners listening to a total of 1 billion songs in the past month. They also noted that iOS 7, of which iTunes Radio is a feature, is now running on 200 million devices; 64 percent of all iOS devices.
