Apple has been begun offering walk-in sales of the new Retina Display iPad mini.
Ten days ago, the company stealthy launched the device in the middle of the night due to extremely low supplies. The next morning it announced the launch but only made the device available in store for those doing Personal Pickup of online orders.
MacRumors notes that the launch of walk-in sales was reported this morning in a research note from Cantor Fitzgerald analyst Brian White, who indicated that a number of New York City stores received shipments designated for walk-in customers last night and this morning.
Apple has also updated its iPad retail page to read, “Buy it now at your favorite Apple Retail Store. Or buy online and pick it up in the store. Either way, we’ll set it up just the way you like.”
Supplies of the new tablet are still very constrained and not all store have received stock. We recommend you ahead before going in to purchase one.
