Realmac has announced that Clear is going free for 24 hours to unify users on one version of the app.
Last year the company released a new version of its Clear to-do app called Clear+ for $4.99. That version had iPad support and iOS 7 support. They then removed the original Clear app from the store; however, complaints from outraged customers quickly brought back the original version.
To prevent confusion going forward the company has decided to transition everyone to the original Clear app and update it with iPad support. To do this, Clear is being offered free for 24 hours.
“To make sure as many people as possible can move to Clear, we’re going to do this twice in the next few weeks. We know this is risky – we rely on the income from Clear to run our small, independent company – and so whilst this was by no means an easy decision for us to make, we simply want to do the right thing for you, our customers.”
Currently, you can purchase Clear from the App Store for $4.99.
