Apple has posted a new ad entitled, ‘Make Music With iPad’ featuring recording artist Elliphant and the song All or Nothing (Riton iPad Remix feat. The Gaslamp Killer).
Apple has also posted a web page detailing how Elliphant uses the iPad to write lyrics, make beats, remix with a crowd, and film a performance.
iPad is changing how we live, work, and create more and more each day. For recording artist Elliphant, it’s liberating her to make music in a radical new way. And whether she’s writing lyrics at home or recording on the road, iPad has become an essential part of her process. It was even used by director So Me to shoot this film.

Explore how Elliphant changes things up.
Writing the lyrics.
Elliphant is constantly writing and experimenting with lyrics. So having her iPad on hand wherever she goes lets her quickly jot down thoughts in Notes or record bits and pieces of audio in GarageBand, which she can instantly share with her producer.
Making beats.
At his home studio in England, Riton worked with the ideas Elliphant sent over. He created samples and beats with iMPC Pro to accompany her latest vocal track, then switched over to NanoStudio to add effects and fine-tune the mix. The two collaborated via FaceTime throughout the songwriting process.
Remixing with a crowd.
DJ The Gaslamp Killer has long used iPad in his sets. It gives him the freedom to roam the stage and move through the audience. The crowd’s energy has a way of inspiring and pushing his performance. During the shoot, he remixed Elliphant’s track live with Serato Remote.
Filming the performance.
Director So Me shot the “All or Nothing” remix film on iPad Air 2 — its remarkable versatility suited his unconventional style. He used a specialized lens and handheld mount to recreate his signature look. And the Manual Camera app gave him the precise, pro-level controls he’s used to.
