Silverlight was Microsoft’s alternative to Flash and Microsoft announced that they were to discontinue and stop active development on Silverlight.
Microsoft didn’t create an Uninstaller app for removing Silverlight, to remove Silverlight you need to manually delete files.
Step 1. Open Finder, type CMD+Shift+G, then enter path.
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/
Step 2. Find the files and move it to the Trash.
/Library/Receipts/Silverlight.pkg. /Library/Receipts/Silverlight_W2_MIX.pkg. /Library/Receipts/WPFe.pkg.
Step 3. Type again CMD+Shift+G, then enter path.
/Library/Receipts/
Step 2. Find the files and move it to the Trash.
/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/Silverlight.plugin. /Library/Internet Plug-Ins/WPFe.plugin.3
Step 4. Restart your Mac.
