Early graphics benchmarks for the iPhone 5s have surfaced on gfxbench showing significant improvements.
Comparing the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5 on the Egypt benchmark reveals notable performance improvements. The iPhone 5s improved from 41.1fps on the onscreen test to 53.0fps. On the offscreen test the iPhone 5s improved to 56.0fps from the iPhone 5’s 29.8fps.
Of course, these benchmarks are very preliminary as they come from just one device. Also, developers have yet to optimize their apps for the 64-bit A7 processor and its support for OpenGL ES 3.0.
