Apple has banned the use of Selfie Sticks at its 2015 WWDC.
The ban was first noticed by Chris Welch of The Verge. Apple posted it on WWDC’s ‘More’ details page.

In addition, you may not use selfie sticks or similar monopods within Moscone West or Yerba Buena Gardens.
Before worrying about bringing your selfie stick to WWDC, you’ll need to get a ticket first.
Developers can apply for tickets via the WWDC website (developer.apple.com/wwdc/tickets) now through Friday, April 17 at 10 a.m. PDT.
Tickets will be issued to attendees through a random selection process.
